IPL 2026 mini auction list ready, dream of 1000 players playing broken, know where the auction will be held
Mumbai: The final list of players for the mini auction of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 has been decided. This time more than 1350 players had registered for the auction, but BCCI has decided to include only 350 players. This means that the dream of more than 1000 players of playing IPL was shattered this time. The auction will be held on December 16 in Abu Dhabi and this information was already given by BCCI.
Initial list and final selection
BCCI had initially released a long list of 1355 players who had registered for the auction. After this the franchises were asked which players they wanted to see in the auction pool. After this process, the final list was prepared, in which a total of 35 new names have been included, which were not part of the initial list. The biggest surprise entry among these new names is that of Quinton De Kock. South African wicketkeeper batsman De Kock was included on the demand of some franchises.
According to the report, Quinton de Kock will be available in the auction as a wicketkeeper-batsman in the third lot. His base price has been fixed at Rs 1 crore. Last year, he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 2 crore in the mega auction, but this time KKR released him.
List of new foreign players
This time many foreign players have also been included in the final list. These include Afghanistan’s Arab Gul, England’s Miles Hammond and Dan Lategan, South Africa’s Quinton de Kock, Connor Eijterhuizen, George Linde and Bayanda Majola, Sri Lanka’s Trawyn Mathew, Binura Fernando, Kusal Perera and Dunith Velalage and West Indies’ Akeem Auguste.
List of new Indian players
Indian players include Sadek Hussain, Vishnu Solanki, Sabir Khan, Brijesh Sharma, Kanishk Chauhan, Aaron George, Jikku Bright, Srihari Nair, Madhav Bajaj, Srivatsa Acharya, Yashraj Punja, Sahil Parakh, Roshan Waghsare, Yash Dicholkar, Ayaz Khan, Dhurmil Matkar, Naman Pushpak, Parikshit Valsangkar, Purav Agarwal, Rishabh Chauhan, Sagar Solanki, Ijaz Sawaria and Aman Shekhawat are included.

BCCI told the franchises through mail on Monday night that the auction will start at 1 pm UAE time (2:30 pm Indian time) at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The auction will feature a full range of capped players as per player specialisation: batsman, all-rounder, wicketkeeper/batsman, fast bowler and spin bowler. After this the full round of uncapped players will be conducted.
