IPL 2026: Virat Kohli’s emotional message after winning the second consecutive trophy, said – ‘This place is my home’

Tezzbuzz Desk- A few days after winning the IPL 2026 title, Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s star batsman Virat Kohli has shared an emotional post about his relationship with the team. This message of Kohli has made the fans very emotional.

RCB won the IPL trophy for the second consecutive time by defeating Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets in the final match. In this match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the team performed brilliantly and won the title.

After the match, Virat Kohli shared a video on social media platform ‘X’, in which he recalled the journey of the entire season. He described the team’s unity, struggle and fans’ support as the biggest strength of this success.

In his post, Kohli wrote, “We started the season with confidence and ended it with a second consecutive title. This team lived every emotion together – the heights, the pressure, the challenges and the unwavering support of the fans. This success is even more special because… this place is my home.”

In the final match, RCB, bowling first, restricted Gujarat Titans to the score of 155/8 in 20 overs. In reply, the team achieved the target by losing 5 wickets in 18 overs. Virat Kohli played an important role in this victory, who scored unbeaten 75 runs in 42 balls. His innings included 9 fours and 3 sixes.

Washington Sundar scored unbeaten 50 runs for Gujarat Titans, but could not get enough support from the other end. For RCB, Rasikh Dar Salam took 3 wickets, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood maintained the pressure by taking 2 wickets each.

Virat Kohli’s performance throughout the season was also excellent. He scored 675 runs in 16 innings, which included one century and five half-centuries. His average was 56.25 and strike rate was 165.84.

After winning the second consecutive trophy, RCB has proved its strong hold in the IPL. This emotional message of Virat Kohli clearly shows that for him this franchise is not just a team but emotionally like a home.
