There is big news about Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh. According to TV reports, Amritpal Singh is hiding in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab. After getting the information, the Punjab Police has started looking for Amritpal Singh. It has been told that a suspected Innova car has been found near a Gurudwara in Nawashahar, Hoshiarpur. After finding the car, the police have started the search operation. However, the police action continued till late night. On the other hand, the presence of Amritpal Singh in Hoshiarpur has not been officially confirmed.

Earlier, a new video of separatist Amritpal Singh surfaced on social media on Tuesday. In this he is seen with his key aide Papalpreet Singh. In the video, Amritpal Singh is seen without a turban and wearing a mask. There is no date on this CCTV footage and it is said to be of a market in Delhi. In this, fugitive Amritpal is seen walking on the road wearing dark glasses, while Papalpreet Singh is seen walking behind him with a bag.

Separatist seen in Delhi too
A senior Delhi Police officer said they are probing whether the men seen in the video are Amritpal Singh and his associate. The officer said that so far we do not have any such information nor has it been confirmed that the place where the video was made is in Delhi. However, we are verifying this.

Video is viral on social media
The video comes a day after a photograph of Amritpal Singh and Papalpreet Singh was circulated on social media. In the said picture, both are seen in a relaxed pose and Amritpal Singh was seen holding a can of beverage. Papalpreet Singh seen in the picture is said to be the guide of Amritpal Singh. He was reportedly in touch with Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.

Since when action is being taken on Amritpal Singh
Since the beginning of the police crackdown on Amritpal and his organization ‘Waris Punjab De’ on March 18, several pictures and videos of him have surfaced on social media. Police said that he has changed his appearance several times. Police had earlier said that Amritpal Singh and Papalpreet Singh were allegedly given shelter by a woman at her home in Shahabad in Haryana’s Kurukshetra district on March 19.

On March 25, a CCTV footage surfaced, purportedly showing Amritpal Singh talking on a mobile phone. Cases have been registered against Amritpal and his associates under several criminal charges related to promoting disharmony, attempt to murder, assault on policemen and obstructing public servants in discharge of their duties. The police have also invoked the National Security Act on some of them. The Punjab Police on Sunday said it has released 197 of the 353 people taken into preventive custody.
