According to reports, the police have also made five other people accused in this case.

Lure was given to invest in redevelopment project
The complaint is that Habiba Jaffrey was induced to invest in a redevelopment project in the Bandra area of ​​Mumbai. He was reportedly assured that the project would yield huge profits in the future and excellent returns on investment.

Investigating officers believe that the investment was made on the basis of this promise. Later, when the facts related to the project and investment were investigated, many serious questions came to light.

Also accused of using fake documents
The agencies investigating the case are also probing whether forged or fake documents were used during the investment process. After receiving the complaint, an FIR was registered at Khar Police Station in Mumbai and a formal investigation began.

Police are now examining documents, transaction records and other evidence related to the investment.

Punishment fell on BMC officer
A new twist in the case came when Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) took action against one of its officers. Mahesh Patil, assistant commissioner of K-North ward, was suspended after allegations surfaced during the investigation.

It is being told that suspension order has been issued and handed over to the concerned officer. The administration took this step after his name surfaced in the case.

Investigating agencies are conducting raids and search operations at various places. The officials are trying to clarify the role of all the people associated with the case and trace the entire network.

Search for Mahesh Patil continues
According to information related to the investigation, Mahesh Patil is reportedly out of contact since the FIR was registered. Police are trying to trace their location and interrogate them.
