Blast in illegal firecracker factory in residential area in Jaipur, 5 workers killed

Jaipur: A major accident took place on Tuesday morning in Kho Nagorian area of ​​Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur. Here a massive fire suddenly broke out in an illegally running firecracker factory in a densely populated residential area. So far 5 people have died in this tragic accident, while 3 people have sustained serious burn injuries. The condition of the injured is said to be very critical, who have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to the information received, this business of death was going on without any interruption for a long time in a house of just 100 square yards in a narrow street, about 22 kilometers away from Jaipur city. At around 11 am on Tuesday morning, suddenly there were several loud explosions one after the other, which shook the entire area. The explosions were so severe that people nearby were frightened. Due to the distance from the city, it took about 40 minutes for the fire department vehicles to reach the spot, due to which the relief work was delayed.

Officials remained silent after being surrounded, MLA accused of negligence

As soon as the information about the accident was received, Collector Dr. Sandesh Nayak and ADM Yugantar Sharma and other top officials reached the spot along with the staff. The operation of such an illegal factory in a residential area has directly exposed the promptness of the local police and administration. While the administrative officials were seen evading the questions of accountability by citing investigation, Congress MLA Amin Kagzi, who reached the spot, directly held the administration responsible for the incident. He has demanded appropriate compensation from the government for the victims’ families and has demanded strictest action against negligent officers and factory owners. At present the administration has sealed that house, but local people say that if this promptness had been shown earlier, the lives of 5 innocent people could have been saved.
