Such has been the journey as a cricket administrator
Shah is the 5th Indian to reach the post of ICC President. Before him, Jagmohan Dalmiya, N Srinivasan, Shashank Manohar and Sharad Pawar had held this post. As a cricket administrator, Shah has achieved a lot in a short time. In this journey that started in 2009, in 2013 he became the Joint Secretary of Gujarat Cricket Association. In 2015, he joined BCCI and became a member of the Finance and Marketing Committee. Became Secretary of BCCI in 2019. During this period he was also the President of the Asian Cricket Council. Shah became the head of the ICC's Finance and Commercial Affairs Sub-Committee in 2022.
Will you accept this condition of PCB?
After becoming the ICC President, the biggest challenge before Jay Shah is to organize the ICC Champions Trophy successfully. BCCI has been demanding a hybrid model for this tournament since the beginning. PCB has accepted the hybrid model on the condition that the hybrid model should also be applicable for ICC or ACC events to be held in India by 2031. Now it remains to be seen whether Jay Shah accepts PCB's condition or not.
