Jio users increased once again, 3 million new users added in March

The number of customers of India’s largest telecom company Reliance Jio has increased once again. The company added more than 3 million new users in March. These figures have been revealed in the report of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. Country’s second largest telecom operator Airtel has also increased its user base here. The company added more than one million users in March. While Vodafone Idea has also suffered losses this time.

Jio Telecom has once again registered the highest growth in the number of its customers. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has stated in its March 2023 report that Reliance Jio has achieved an increase of 30.5 lakh users. While Bharti Airtel also added 10.37 lakh users. So Vodafone Idea has suffered a big loss here. In March 2023, 12.12 lakh users of the company had decreased.

The number of Jio users has now increased to more than 430 million. The number of Airtel users has also increased to 37.09 crore. Vodafone lost 12.12 lakh users, down from 23.79 crore users in February to just 23.67 crore. Who earlier Jio had acquired one million new users in February. Its total number of customers was 42.61 crore in January, which has increased to 42.71 crore in February. Bharti Airtel also added 9.82 lakh new users in February, taking its total subscriber base to 36.98 crore. Now by March 2023 it has increased to 37.09 crores.

A report by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) states that five major telecom service providers hold 98.37% of the total broadband subscribers in the country. This includes 43.85 crore users of Reliance Jio Infocomm, 24.19 crore users of Bharti Airtel, 12.48 crore users of Vodafone Idea. According to the report, the total number of telephone subscribers in India is said to be 117.2 crore. It has increased at the rate of 0.21 percent. The number of urban telephone subscribers in India is reported to be 653 million. Whereas in rural areas it has been mentioned as 51.8 crore.
