Shiva-Parvati always reside in Kashi Vishwanath Dham, how one gets special virtue by darshan and worship.

In Sanatan Dharma, Kashi is considered one of the most sacred and ancient pilgrimages. Kashi Vishwanath is ranked ninth among the twelve Jyotirlingas. It is believed that this city has been illuminated by the grace of Lord Shiva since time immemorial and the chants of “Har-Har Mahadev” keep resonating here all the time. Lakhs of devotees from India and abroad reach Kashi to have darshan of Baba Vishwanath and wish for salvation.

According to mythological beliefs, the city of Kashi is situated on the trident of Lord Shiva. This is the reason why this city does not cease to exist even during the Holocaust. In Skanda Purana, Kashi has been described as an indestructible city, which never gets destroyed. It is said that when seen from the sky, this divine light beam looks like a flag.

Amazing form of Shiva and Shakti

Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham is considered a symbol of the union of Shiva and Shakti. According to religious beliefs, Mother Parvati sits in the form of Shakti on the right side of the Jyotirlinga, while Lord Shiva sits on the left side. For this reason, Kashi Vishwanath Dham is considered a very divine and perfect place.

In Kashi, death is considered the path to salvation.

It is said in religious texts, “Kashyan Marananmukti”, that is, a person who leaves his body in Kashi attains salvation. It is believed that here Lord Shiva himself frees the devotees from the bondage of birth and death by giving them Tarak Mantra. Due to this belief, lakhs of devotees wish to have darshan of Baba Vishwanath once in their life.

Wishes are fulfilled just by darshan

The spiritual importance of Kashi Vishwanath Temple is considered very special. The Shri Yantra installed in the dome of the temple is considered extremely miraculous. Devotees believe that by looking at it, every wish made with a true heart is fulfilled by the grace of Baba Vishwanath. The sanctum sanctorum of the temple is also considered important from the point of view of Tantra Sadhana. The four gates located here are called Shanti Dwar, Kala Dwar, Pratishtha Dwar and Nivrit Dwar. It is believed that by doing five parikrama of the sanctum sanctorum, the devotees get freedom from negative powers and obstacles.

When Shiva-Parvati made Kashi their abode

There are many mythological stories related to Vishwanath Jyotirlinga. According to a story, when Lord Shiva started living with Mother Parvati on Mount Kailash after marriage, Mother Parvati was not happy there. He expressed his desire to Lord Shiva to live in some beautiful and holy place. To fulfill the wish of Mother Parvati, Lord Shiva left Kailash and came to the city of Kashi and got established here forever in the form of Jyotirlinga. Since then Kashi is considered to be the permanent residence of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. It is believed that Panchkroshi area i.e. five kos area of ​​Kashi was never left by Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati even during the holocaust. For this reason, Kashi is called “Avimukt Kshetra”, that is, a place which Lord Shiva never leaves.

One gets the same results as Rajsuya Yagya.

It is described in Kashikhand that just by touching the Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirlinga, one gets virtue equal to Rajasuya Yagya and by seeing it one gets the light of knowledge. It is said that every land of Kashi is Shivamay and every particle here is filled with divinity. There is also a religious belief that a person attains salvation by seeing Baba Vishwanath and taking bath in Mother Ganga. Great saints like Adi Shankaracharya, Saint Eknath, Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Swami Vivekananda, Maharishi Dayanand and Goswami Tulsidas also came to this Dham and received the blessings of Lord Shiva.
