This drink found on the streets of Kerala is also called Shaken Lemonade. In Kerala, Kulukki literally means stirred water. Initially it started being made in juice shops on the streets of Kochi and gradually it became popular. This sherbet is mainly from Kozhikode city in North Kerala, but it is very famous at roadside juice shops in Kochi.
Ingredients for Kulukki Sharbat
- Coconut water – 1 glass
- Big lemon- 1
- Green chilli- 1
- Sabja seeds- 1 teaspoon
- Sugar- 1.5 teaspoon
- Mint leaves- 5-6
- Black salt – a pinch
- ice cubes
How to make Kulukki
Add coconut water, lemon, sugar, black salt and ice cubes in a shaker and mix. After this, crush mint leaves and mix it. Now add some ice cubes, vegetable seeds and chillies by making a cut from the middle in a serving glass. Pour sherbet over it and serve it chilled.
