Khaleda Zia’s trip to London for treatment postponed
Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia’s visit to London has been postponed indefinitely by the Medical Board. The journey had earlier been postponed due to a technical glitch in the air ambulance provided by Qatar. Doctors believe that it is not advisable for her to go abroad at present, and they are hopeful that Khaleda Zia will recover from her physical complications. He was admitted to the hospital after infection.
The medical board treating seriously ill former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia on Saturday postponed her trip to London indefinitely. Khaleda Zia was to leave for London on Sunday.
Earlier on Friday, his travel plans had to be postponed as the air ambulance provided by Qatar could not reach Dhaka due to technical problems. Media reports said Doha later chartered an alternative plane from Germany.

His personal physician and member of the party’s policy-making standing committee, Dr. A.Z.M. Zahid Hussain said, “The medical board believes that it is not appropriate for her to go abroad at this time. The board is confident that Begum Khaleda Zia will recover from her current physical complications.”
The medical board caring for Jiah had earlier agreed to send her to London for advanced treatment, while she was admitted to hospital on November 23 after contracting the infection, which affected both her heart and lungs.
