In the last league match of this season played at Eden Gardens, Delhi Capitals defeated KKR by 40 runs. In reply to 204 runs given by Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders were all out for 163 runs in 18.4 overs. KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane played an inning of 63 runs. Whereas for Delhi Capitals, Lungi Ngidi and Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets each. While Mitchell Starc took 2-2 wickets.

KKR had a good start

Kolkata Knight Riders had a good start to chase the target of 204 runs given by Delhi Capitals. There was a partnership of 43 runs for the first wicket between captain Ajinkya Rahane and Finn Allen, but then Lungi Ngidi gave a shock to Kolkata by dismissing Finn Allen. Allen returned to the pavilion after scoring 20 runs off 13 balls.

Kolkata Knight Riders have suffered a second blow in the form of Manish Pandey. Lungi Ngidi showed him the way to the pavilion. Manish Pandey was out after scoring 25 runs in 15 balls.
