However, the truth is that the channel is not shutting down.

A short clip posted by an account called 'Animation Workers Ignited' on July 9 regarding Cartoon Network went viral with the caption: “Cartoon Network is dead?!?! What's at stake for animation?” Let people know!!! Post about your favorite Cartoon Network shows using #RIPCartoonNetwork.”

The video, which features animated characters discussing animation personnel, has been viewed more than six million times.

“When COVID first hit, animation was able to operate completely remotely, making it one of the only forms of entertainment that could continue production without interruption,” the character explains in the video. But the studios decided to pay them by canceling projects, outsourcing jobs, and firing artists en masse.”

The video claims that major studios prioritize profits above everything else, cutting budgets by slashing expenses and staffing, while CEOs and executives continue to enjoy substantial profits for themselves, the video said. “Animation is under attack. Which side are you on?”

Well, what Cartoon Network says about this now remains to be seen, but to preserve your childhood, this Cartoon Network is still alive, not #RIPCartoonNetwork.
