For the first time, a female SPG commando or someone else was seen with PM Modi! This special information came to light
New Delhi : Where for some time, the photo of a dashing female SPG commando behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going viral. People are tweeting in different ways about this photo on social media.
However, according to some other media reports, the female officer seen in the picture shared on social media is not an SPG commando. She is said to be the PSO of President Draupadi Murmu who is posted as Assistant Commandant in CRPF.
According to other media sources, information has been received about the picture which is going viral that it is a picture from inside the Parliament. SPG women are also deployed in Parliament.

However, according to sources, women have not joined SPG for the first time. Women have already been kept under necessary security in SPG. If sources are to be believed, in the initial phase, women were kept in SPG for advanced deployment.

If seen, women commandos have been a part of the complex security framework of SPG for years. Till 2015, women were not included in the Close Protection Team (CPT) of SPG, and now according to media sources, about 100 women commandos are deployed in some of its departments.

After all, what is SPG unit?
Please note that SPG was established in the country in April 1985 under the Cabinet Secretariat by the then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi after the assassination of his mother, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, by her bodyguards. The SPG Act came into existence in the year 1988.
It was established with the intention of providing close security to the Prime Minister, former Prime Ministers and members of their immediate families. SPG bodyguards and officers also possess high leadership qualities, professionalism, knowledge of close security and the ability to lead from the front.
