Patna: After the formation of the new government in Bihar, a large-scale administrative reshuffle has been made. On Monday, IAS officers of the state have been transferred on a large scale, DMs of 13 districts have also been changed. The General Administration Department has issued its notification. All of them are officers of 2017 and 2018 batch of Indian Administrative Service. Only one officer Shrikant Shastri is from 2012 batch. He was the DM of Aurangabad, now he has been sent to the same post in Begusarai.

DM of Madhepura, 2017 batch IAS officer Taranjot Singh will now be the District Magistrate of West Champaran. Sheohar District Magistrate Vivek Ranjan Maitreya (2017) has been made DM of Siwan. Arwal DM Abhilasha Sharma (2017), who is facing allegations, has been sent to the same post in Aurangabad. Ashutosh Dwivedi (2018), Joint Secretary, Building Construction Department, has been made the District Magistrate of Katihar. Project Director of Bihar AIDS Control Society, 2018 batch IAS Pratibha Rani (Additional charge – Mission Director, Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali, Rural Development Department, Bihar, Patna) has been transferred and made the District Magistrate of Sheohar.

Vaibhav Srivastava was made the District Magistrate of Saran
Vaibhav Srivastava (2018), Director of Information and Public Relations Department, has been made DM of Saran. Vinod Duhan (2018), Director of Mines and Geology Department, will now be the DM of Araria. Director of Fisheries, Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, Abhishek Ranjan has been made the District Magistrate of Madhepura. Shekhar Anand (2018), Director of Technical Development, Industries Department, has been posted on the post of Shekhpura DM. Amrita Bains (2018), Officer on Special Duty, Energy Department, has been made the District Magistrate of Arwal while Primary Education Director Sahila (2018) has been made the District Magistrate of Buxar. Director of Agriculture Department, Nitin Kumar Singh (2018) will now assume the responsibility of District Magistrate of Kaimur. The officials have also been appointed as District Magistrate of the concerned district under Section 14 of the Indian Civil Security Code, 2023 (Act-46, 2023).
