Strait of Hormuz crisis and India’s strategy India imports about 90 percent of its total LPG requirement from abroad. But due to the recent global crisis, the Strait of Hormuz has almost been closed, and supply chain problems have arisen for India. The government has taken very far-sighted steps to deal with this serious situation. Strict instructions have already been issued to public sector oil companies to rapidly increase domestic LPG production. Along with this, import of LPG is also continuing through alternative safe sea routes, so that there is no hindrance in the supply of domestic demand during festivals and normal days within the country.
