President Xi Jinping: Amid rising tensions with the US, Chinese President Xi Jinping has vowed to make his army like steel. Breaking the rules, Jinping has become the President of China for the third time.

Jinping said in his speech on Sunday that the People’s Liberation Army should be like a steel wall, so that they can protect the sovereignty of their country. He appealed to maintain the leadership of the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC) headed by him.

Xi Jinping is considered the main leader of the party, just like the founder of the party, Mao Zedong. Jinping was endorsed last week as the head of the Central Military Commission, the Chinese military, and has become the country’s president for the third time in a row. He said in his speech that “make the army like a great wall of steel that can effectively protect national sovereignty, security and our development interests.”

Xi Jinping has made this appeal when the relations between China and America have deteriorated further. There is a fight between America and China especially over Taiwan. For example, China tells Taiwan its share, which the Taiwan government and America have been rejecting.

China wants to destroy Taiwan and make it a part of its country. Jinping has also vowed to resolve the Taiwan issue in Monday’s speech.

Jinping the strongest leader after Mao

On the last day of the annual meeting of the National People’s Congress, with the presence of about 3,000 legislators, Jinping insisted on maintaining the centralization of the Communist Party, the main policy body of the Communist Party, and the integrated leadership. Jinping was elected chairman of the Chinese Communist Party for a third consecutive term last year, the first leader since Mao to be elected for a third consecutive term.
