Although he never were given his hair officially measured and mentioned by the Guinness Book of Records, Vietnamese herbalist Tran Van Hay became called the man with the longest hair within the world. According to his wife,
Tran hadn’t gotten a haircut in more than fifty years and simplest washed it some instances (the final time being 11 years ago). Unfortunately, Tran Van Hay died in 2010 at the age of 79. China’s Xie Qiuping is on record as having the world’s longest hair, measured at 5.6 metres in 2004, according to the Guinness World Records.
Media reports said he lived a simple life as a herbalist, but his hair could complicate things. Reports said no motorcycle taxi would carry him because he could not wear a helmet. In the daytime he balanced his hair on his head like a basket, protected by a scarf.
