Married woman dies under suspicious circumstances in Muzaffarnagar, husband and in-laws accused of murder

Morna. The father of the deceased has accused the husband and in-laws of killing a married woman by hanging her in Khedi Firozabad village of Kakrauli area. The police sent the dead body for postmortem and started action by registering a case.

Nafees Ansari, a resident of Morna village under Bhopa police station area, informed the Kakrauli police station that three years ago his daughter Gulshana was married to a youth named Shahzad in Khedfirozabad. Dowry was given according to the status in the marriage. Ever since the marriage, husband Shahzad, father-in-law Salim, sister-in-law Gulfaroz and Raunak used to fight with Gulshana for the demand of additional dowry.

The in-laws beat up Gulshana and left her at her mother’s home. On last Sunday, the daughter’s in-laws took Gulshana away considering it as their mistake. On Tuesday, the maternal uncle got information that the accused husband Shahzad father-in-law Salim, sister-in-law Gulfaroz and Raunak together beat up Gulshana and hanged her to death.

The accused fled from the house. The news of Gulshana’s death created anger in the maternal side. Father Nafees has demanded action by giving Tahrir of the accused. The police sent the dead body for postmortem after making a panchnama. The deceased has left behind two-year-old daughter Inaya and four-month-old baby boy Arsh. Police Station President Sunil Kasana said that on the basis of father’s Tahrir, a case was registered against the accused and the body has been sent for postmortem.
