Latest News :- The 17th Paralympic Games for the Disabled were recently held in Paris. In this sequence, Mariyappan of Tamil Nadu won the bronze medal in the men's high jump event. Meanwhile, athlete Mariyappan, who returned home after winning a bronze medal in the Paralympic Games, met Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin at the Chennai camp office and congratulated him. In view of his excellent performance in the Paralympic competition, he honored him with a memento.
In his social media post, he said, 'Athlete Mariyappan has brought glory to India and Tamil Nadu by participating in the Paralympic competition and winning bronze in high jump. He will also help our sports development department achieve greater achievements. My love and best wishes to him.” He said. The event was attended by Sports Department Secretary Atulya Mishra, Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority Member Secretary J.Meganatha Reddy and others.
