New Delhi. Minimum Wage Rate Hike: Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government has taken an important decision regarding the wages of workers in the country. The Central Government has made changes in the variable dearness allowance of employees. It has also announced to increase the minimum wage rate for laborers to Rs 1,035 per day. Understand how much money will come to the workers due to increase in minimum wage rate.

How much money will unskilled laborers get now?

The government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to increase the minimum wage for unskilled workers (Minimum Wage Rate Hike). According to a report, this information has been given by the Employment Ministry. The government said that this decision has been taken to raise the standard of living of the workers.

After the revision in minimum wage rates, the minimum wage rate in Category A in unskilled sector working as sweeper, porter will be Rs 783 per day. So these workers will get a monthly salary of Rs 20,358.

Different categories of laborers have been created by the government. Minimum Wage Rate Hike rate is decided according to that category. Now it has been increased and the minimum wage rate for semi-skilled workers has been made Rs 868 per day. So he will get Rs 22,568 per month.

The minimum wage rate in respect of skilled workers i.e. clerks or unarmed security guards, guards has been increased to Rs 954 per day. So he will get Rs 24,804 per month. The minimum wage rate for high skilled workers has been increased to Rs 1,035 per month and they will get Rs 26,910 per month.

When will the new minimum wage rates come into effect?

After increasing the wage rates of workers, the Labor Ministry has said that the new minimum wage rate will be applicable from next month i.e. from October 1, 2024. The outstanding amount will also be paid to these employees from April 2024.
