New Delhi: Astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore are stranded on the International Space Station (ISS) due to technical problems. Sunita had entered the ISS in June. However, it was earlier decided that their return to Earth would be in February 2025, but it has been postponed once again. She is stranded in space due to safety problems in the Boeing Starliner spacecraft.
Sunita Williams will return in March next year
Now after March next year, Sunita Williams will return to Earth. NASA has said that all the current crew in the ISS are healthy and safe. NASA also announced that the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft, which has been assigned to bring back Sunita Williams. But now it will not launch from Earth till the end of March.
Let us tell you, NASA and SpaceX were going to launch Crew-10 mission in February. Which is now getting delayed, because the work of making new Dragon spacecraft for this mission is going on. Four people will go to the space station in this capsule. Along with this, NASA Commercial Crew Program Manager Steve Stich said that there is a slight delay in the fabrication, assembly, testing and final integration of the spacecraft. Due to which Sunita and Butch will have to stay at the station for one more month.

NASA said – there is no danger of anything
However, he told that Sunita and Butch Wilmore are not in any danger and both can comfortably spend the next three months on the space station. Currently, there are 9 astronauts present at the space station and this is not the first time that astronauts have had to extend their journey. This has happened before also. But this will be Sunita's first time staying at the station for such a long time.
