New Delhi: A massive fire broke out at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital in Amritsar, Punjab at 2 pm on Saturday. It is being told that due to the fire in the transformer, the fire spread in the hospital, and as soon as the fire broke out in the hospital, there was chaos all around and the patients started running on the streets. In view of the fire spreading inside the hospital, more than 600 patients had to be evacuated in a hurry.
Due to the weekend in Guru Nanak Dev Hospital, there were no patients in the OPD, but more than 600 patients were present in the hospital. Where as soon as the information about the fire broke out, the fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and brought the fire under control. At present, it is a matter of relief that so far no casualty has been reported in this incident and all the patients are completely safe.
At the same time, after this incident, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann tweeted and said – There was a report of fire in Guru Nanak Hospital. Fire fighters are quickly controlling the situation. The Chief Minister said that due to the grace of God, no loss of life has happened in this incident.
At the same time, after the incident of fire, state government minister Harbhajan Singh has reached the spot. And he said that, I am constantly monitoring the relief and rescue work.
Giving information about the incident, the fire brigade officer said that, first the fire started in the transformer, after which the fire engulfed the hospital. And as soon as the information was received, eight fire tenders reached the spot and the fire has been brought under control.
