Bareilly’s SP MLA Shahjil Islam’s displeasure with SP again came to the fore, also avoided membership campaign
Bareilly: Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Shahzil Islam, who came into the limelight after his objectionable statement against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has distanced himself from the membership campaign launched by the party.
Shahjil said on Thursday that he is in Delhi due to the admission of his son. Actually, MLA from Amroha and former minister MLA Mehboob Ali has been made in-charge of Bareilly’s membership campaign by the SP High Command. On Wednesday, he held a meeting at the party office and called for making four lakh members in Bareilly and said that no party has as much army of workers as the SP has. We will camp in every assembly at the booth and block level. Will work to connect people with the party. A member making 50 ordinary members will be considered an active member. Each member will have to pay Rs 20 for membership.
Membership in-charge MLA Mehboob Ali targeted the BJP and said that those who are making members on phone and WhatsApp are only misleading the people.
When the membership in-charge MLA Mehboob Ali, who was launching the membership drive in Bareilly, was questioned on this, he appeared to be avoiding. He said that MLA Shahjil would be busy with some work. Only the national leadership can give information related to Shahjil.
It is noteworthy that Shahjil, who was in the discussion about cross voting in the recently held presidential election, has again come under the scanner. He did not even attend the launch of the SP membership drive organized in Bareilly. Earlier, Shahjil Islam did not attend the Iftar party organized by District Samajwadi Party in Bareilly in April, whereas Shahjil Islam attended the Iftar party organized by All India Raza Action Committee on the same day in Bareilly city itself. ,
Saddened by the bulldozer at Shahjil’s petrol pump, on the orders of Akhilesh Yadav, a 12-member committee formed under the leadership of Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Sanjay Lather had come to Bareilly but Mr. Shahjil did not meet the committee.
Shahzil Islam told that he is in Delhi regarding the admission of the child. It is a coincidence that whenever SP’s program is held in Bareilly, he is out of the city.
