It is known that the Chennai Police has added this facility on the request of the defaulters to get the challan paid. In fact, since the year 2018, the Chennai Traffic Police is working on a cashless e-challan system. But some discrepancies were found in this process.
It may be noted that as per the records, there were a large number of defaulters who have not paid their fines. Following which, in an effort to further ease the payment of challans, the Greater Chennai Traffic Police has decided to introduce a Paytm QR code at the checking spots. In this regard, the training process of more than 200 officers has been completed. Explain that these officers will guide the people to pay the fine with the help of handheld QR code card.
Through this digital scheme, almost challaning officers will get small handheld QR code cards. After which people violating the traffic rules can scan the QR from the card to fill the challan. Let us tell you that this QR code will take you directly to the e-challan page of the Paytm app. After entering the Challan ID and Vehicle Number, the Challan filler will be able to make the payment using all the payment modes including UPI.
