Virat Kohli, who captained after Dhoni for a long time, was once the captain of all three formats of Team India. Not only this, he also captained RCB in IPL. Kohli is no longer the captain of Team India. Ever since Kohli took over the captaincy, many speculations have been going on till now. Now a BCCI official has veiled from this whole matter. The treasurer of BCCI has clearly said that Virat has a lot of potential, he is definitely one of the great players of India. He said that such things keep happening in the media that BCCI is sidelining Virat Kohli. However, we are not affected by all these things.
Virat Kohli’s decision to leave the captaincy was his own
During an event, Arun Kumar Dhumal has said that Virat Kohli’s decision to leave the captaincy was his own and we respect his decision. As far as selection is concerned, the decision should be left to the selectors. They said that,
Virat Kohli has a huge contribution for Team India, not only BCCI, all cricket boards respect him. Dhumal said,
We all want Virat Kohli to get back into form as soon as possible and bat again with the kind of batting he is known and recognized for.

Kohli’s bat is silent
Let us tell you that Virat Kohli is going through a bad form at the moment. His bat has been silent for a long time. Since November of 2019, Virat Kohli has not scored a single century so far. He last captained in T20 for Team India in T20 World Cup 2021. In that India had to be eliminated before the semi-finals.
Since then, Virat has been continuously taking rest from the series in between. Virat is also not playing in the recent series between India and West Indies.
