In Lakhimpur Kheri, the family members alleged the death of the youth due to beating of the police. On January 17, youth Rahul was accused of mobile theft by his uncle. The police reached the house of the accused youth and started beating him. Rahul’s mother was told about being released by the police in two-four hours. When she reached the post again, Rahul was sobbing with pain there. When the police did not find anything during interrogation, he let Rahul go. Rahul’s condition worsened and he died on 23 January.
