If Punia runs 70+ formula then Vasundhara Raje will be out of the election field
New Delhi ,
The political feud between former CM Vasundhara Raje is not hidden from anyone after Satish Poonia became the state president of Rajasthan BJP. Both the leaders of BJP keep trying to defeat each other. State President Satish Punia has added fuel to the fire by advocating not to give tickets to leaders above 70 years of age. If the BJP leadership proceeds on this formula, then the crisis may deepen if veteran leaders like Vasundhara Raje to Gulabchand Kataria contest the elections.
Jana Sangh ideologue Nanaji Deshmukh had asked to raise the age of retirement in politics to 65, taking the basis of this, Punia has put a formula for retirement at the age of 70 by the leaders. At the same time, Satish Poonia said, ‘I will be away from electoral politics after the age of 70. After a certain age in politics, the elders should guide and work towards bringing the youth forward in the politics of elections.
Satish Punia said that the work of connecting youth with BJP organization is going on fast in Rajasthan. If a new generation comes, the organization will expand more. He said that in the assembly elections to be held in 2023, BJP will give 50 percent tickets to the youth. Poonia said that I have started work on it. A list of such leaders is being prepared in the state who have completed 70 years of age.
If the BJP top leadership adopts the formula of Satish Punia, then the hopes of contesting elections of many big leaders of Rajasthan can be ruined. At present, the age of Satish Punia is 58 years while the age of former CM Vasundhara Raje is currently 69 years. In such a situation, at the time of Rajasthan Assembly elections next year, Vasundhara Raje’s age will be 70 years. In such a situation, should the formula of Punia’s political retirement not become an obstacle in the political path of Vasundhara Raje.
Ahead of the assembly elections to be held in late 2023 in Rajasthan, there is a tussle in the BJP camp over the chief minister’s face. The supporters of Vasundhara Raje are again trying to make her the face of the Chief Minister and Vasundhara herself is also active. At the same time, BJP state president Satish Poonia has openly opposed many times and has been saying that the parliamentary board of the party will decide who will become the chief minister’s face of the state. There is no person worship in BJP. It is believed that by making such statements, Vasundhara has been opposing Raje.
From Vasundhara Raje to Satish Punia, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Gulab Chandra Kataria in the Rajasthan BJP, to become the chief minister’s face in the BJP, they are in their own efforts. In such a situation, the BJP high command had made it clear a long time ago that the Rajasthan Assembly elections will be fought on the Lotus, the election symbol of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP. Despite this, the supporters of Vasundhara state have been demanding to declare CM face. In such a situation, Satish Punia has raised concern for Vasundhara Raje by saying that she is 70 years old to contest the elections.
On Poonia’s political retirement formula, if the BJP top leadership goes ahead and distributes tickets on the same pattern in the 2023 assembly elections, not only Vasundhara Raje but many leaders of the party can be ruined. In the state, 12 BJP MLAs, 5 Lok Sabha MPs, 3 Rajya Sabha MPs and 18 former MLAs are over 70 years of age. In such a situation, political crisis can deepen if they contest elections.
Former CM Vasundhara Raje, Leader of Opposition Gulabchand Kataria, Vasudev Devnani, Kailash Meghwal, Former Minister Kalicharan Sarraf, Narpat Singh Rajvi, Nandlal Meena, Laduram Vishnoi, Sunderlal Kaka, Tarun Rai Kaga, Gopal Joshi, Dr. Rampratap, Harish Chandra Kumawat, Ratanlal Jaldhari Leaders like Jai Narayan Punia, Surendra Pareek, Kanhaiyalal Meena, Chitaria Lal Jatav, Golma Devi, Manohar Singh, Kesaram Chaudhary, Shambhu Singh Khetasar, Song Singh Bhati, Colonel Sonaram and Amraram Chaudhary will not be able to contest the elections.
BJP is making every effort to return to power in Rajasthan. In such a situation, the party does not want to take any political risk. That is why it has been the constant effort of the top leadership that all the BJP factions in the state will work together. From JP Nadda to Amit Shah, in their tour, Vasundhara Raje, Gajendra Shekhawat and Satish Punia have given a message to the camp to work together. In such a situation, the question arises that in view of the political influence of Vasundhara Raje, will BJP be able to muster the courage to implement Satish Punia’s 70 years old formula?
