India announces a day of mourning on the death of UAE President, the national flag will remain half-masted on Saturday


New Delhi. India on Saturday announced a day of mourning as a mark of respect to the passing away of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.

The national flag will remain at half-mast on Saturday and there will be no official entertainment.

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, has passed away, an official statement said. In honor of the late dignitary, the Government of India has decided that tomorrow there will be a day of state mourning across India.

On the day of mourning across India, the national flag will be flown at half-mast on all buildings where the national flag is flown regularly and there will be no official entertainment program on that day.

The President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, passed away on Friday.
