Etah. On one hand UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is giving instructions to the police officers for the safety of women. They are being asked to treat the public well. But, these instructions were not remembered by the Jalesar police station of Etah, at 10-11 pm on Thursday night, at 10-11 pm, the women of Madari society sitting in the police station premises were brutally lathi-charged and injured by the police.

On Wednesday night at around 10 pm from Mohalla Hammer under Jalesar Kotwali area, the local police arrested a young man named Anish in a case and locked him in the police station. A few hours later, a dozen women of Madari society reached the police station and said that Anish has not committed any crime, he has been arrested by the police on false charges.

After some time Kotwali Inspector Gajraj Singh reached there. He sent five-six male soldiers to convince the women. During this, the women alleged that women policemen were not with them. There were only male constables, who molested the women, when they protested, 10-15 policemen beat them up with sticks. Dozens of women, including a pregnant woman, were injured in the barbaric lathi charge by the policemen.

The inspector said that the allegations of the women are baseless. The policemen said that stones were being pelted by the women. During this, the woman demanded action against the policemen and said that the youth arrested on false charges should be released. No concrete action was taken against the accused policemen.
