Mamta government is running the schemes of the center in its name, write a letter to the PM of Shubhendu
West Bengal BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleging that funds allocated by the Center are being mismanaged by the Trinamool Congress-led government in the state. He said that the Mamta government is using the schemes of the Center under the scheme of the state government. This comes a day after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met PM Modi in Delhi and submitted a letter calling for immediate release of funds for the state for implementation of schemes including MGNREGA.
In a letter to PM Modi, Shubhendu Adhikari wrote, “I would like to apprise you about the misuse of central grants and funds provided by the central government for the implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes, especially MGNREGA, PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) and PMGSY (Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana).
Suvendu Adhikari alleged that several incidents of mismanagement are being traced across West Bengal and it is a fact that payments for works to be done under MGNREGA were being made without actually executing such works. He wrote a letter to PM Modi alleging that several central government schemes are being used in Bengal under the head of the state government:
-Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana as Bangla Awas Yojana
-Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana as Bangla Gram Sadak Yojana
-Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana as Food Partner
-Pradhan Mantri Jal Yojana as Mission Jal Sapna
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan as Nirmal Bangla
Watershed Development Program as Jaldharo Jal Bharo
National Rural Livelihoods Mission in the form of Anandadhara
