Massive fire in Delhi’s Mundka, 27 bodies were removed from the building, more than 100 rescues so far

A massive fire broke out in Delhi’s Mundka building on Friday. 27 people have died in the fire. All the bodies have been recovered. Chief Fire Office Atul Garg said that 30 to 40 people are still feared trapped in the building. He said that the rescue is on. We have also deployed a team of 100 employees to do the rescue. Right now the team of fire department is conducting a search operation on the third floor of the building. As soon as the incident of fire was known, 27 fire tenders had reached the spot.

9 injured trapped in the building have been admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital. The death toll in the fierce fire in Mundka area is increasing continuously. The team of NDRF from RRC Dwarka Delhi has been dispatched to the spot, which is still on its way. The owners of the company Harish Goyal and Varun Goel have been taken into custody.

Rs 2 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased
The families of those who lost their lives in the fire will be given Rs 2 lakh each from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF), while Rs 50,000 will be given to the injured.

PCR call information
Today at 04.45 pm, a PCR call was received at the police station Mundka regarding the incident of fire in an office. On the information of the call, the local police immediately reached the spot and started saving the people. Police officers broke the windows of the building and evacuated the people and admitted the injured to the hospital.

some people jumped off the building
Sunil Choudhary, Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Delhi Fire Brigade Service, said that some people jumped from the building to save their lives, they were admitted to the hospital. A fire worker told ‘Aaj Tak’ that we have evacuated around 300-350 people.

Initial inquiries revealed that the building is three-storeyed and is a commercial building usually used to provide office space to companies. The fire incident started from the first floor of the building. The owner of the company is in police custody. Fire brigade vehicles are present at the spot to douse the fire. An ambulance has also reached the spot to provide immediate help to the scorched victims.
