Hyderabad: The Meteorological Department in Telangana has issued an orange alert on Saturday in 19 districts of the state, predicting heavy rain or excessive rainfall.
According to the Meteorological Department, 19 districts of the states – Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Rajanna Sirisila, Jaishankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal (Rural), Warangal (Urban), Janggaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy Heavy and torrential rains have been predicted in Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy till Sunday morning. Therefore, an orange alert has been issued in these districts.
The Meteorological Department said that till tomorrow 8.30, heavy rain may occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli and Khammam districts of the state. The department has also issued a ‘yellow’ alert regarding this.
Dust storm with speed reaching 30 to 40 kmph is very likely at isolated places over some districts of Telangana.
According to the Meteorological Department, it will be generally cloudy in Hyderabad. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers have been forecast at isolated places in the state.
