SP’s membership campaign continues on the lines of BJP, for the first time district level in-charge will monitor
Lucknow. Now the Samajwadi Party is also compelled to follow the footsteps of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). SP is also busy in speeding up its membership campaign on the lines of BJP. SP has constituted district level in-charges to give edge to the membership campaign. This in-charge will monitor the membership drive and prepare daily reports and inform the higher officials. The party believes that with constant monitoring, more and more people will join the party under the membership drive and will strengthen the party in the coming 2024 elections.
The Samajwadi Party has already started preparations for the upcoming elections in view of the recent assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, followed by the defeat in the Lok Sabha by-elections and the results coming in the Legislative Council elections. SP is running membership drive in the entire state. In-charges have been constituted in every district of the state to give impetus to the membership drive. However, out of 75 districts of the state, in-charges have been constituted in 72 districts only. In the released list of SP, the party in-charge in the capital Lucknow and two other districts has not been found.
SP State President Naresh Uttam Patel told that district level in-charges have been constituted. They have been advised to the local leaders and officials to work in the direction of making people members expeditiously. He said that the target has also been given to make the in-charge active and general members. However, he did not specify the target.
It is noteworthy that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) works to strengthen the organization by forming in-charges in its membership campaign. In this, those who make 200 members are kept in the category of active members, while it is mandatory to make 50 members. Now, like the BJP, the SP has also started to give edge to the membership campaign by forming in-charges.
