There was a lot of ruckus when the DJ stopped, the groom had to return without the bride
In Haryana’s Mahendragarh, there was a fierce ruckus between the processions and local people regarding the closure of DJ in the district. Because of which the groom had to return with the procession back. There was a marriage of 2 daughters of a family living near Panchmukhi temple. The marriage of the first daughter was settled comfortably, but in the second marriage, the wedding procession created a ruckus after drinking alcohol. The matter reached to abuse and assault. Then the girl refused to marry.
The people of the bride’s side say that the groom rode on a mare and left for the bride’s house with a melody. The baraatis were intoxicated and kept on dancing and making riots on the road till 1 o’clock in the night. The auspicious time passed but the procession could not reach the bride’s house at the right time. During this, someone called on 112 and after reaching the spot, the police stopped the DJ. Due to this, the procession got angry and started demanding bands from the bride’s family at night.
Somehow the band was arranged in the night. During this, the people of the girl’s side also referred to the auspicious time of marriage, but the procession kept on dancing and started misbehaving with the people playing the band. When the groom reached the wedding pavilion, he also created a lot of ruckus. Removed the garland and sehra and threw it. He started abusing the bride and her parents. With this, the processions also created a lot of ruckus.
The procession returned without a bride
The bride’s side alleges that the groom was also intoxicated. When the bride saw this whole scene, she refused to take seven rounds. There was humility till morning, but the matter did not work out. The procession returned, but some people from the groom’s side reached the Mahendragarh city police station. Later, it was decided amongst themselves by the Panchayat, on which both the parties agreed and then the bridegroom and the procession returned without the bride.
The bride says that she will not marry that boy under any circumstances. The bride said that there is no pressure on me. My whole family was humiliated a lot and I was also abused along with them. At the same time, the brother-in-law of the groom says that due to not getting married, our respect in the society has been spoiled, what will we show in the village. We have also suffered a lot due to not getting married. Here, after returning from Jhajjar, there was a long discussion between the relatives and relatives who came to the wedding. Later, the marriage of the daughter was fixed in Rohtak district in kinship.
