Let us tell that on this day military parades, military exhibitions and other programs are also organized in the capital Delhi and all the army headquarters. During this, the whole country remembers the indomitable courage, valor, valor and sacrifices of the Army. Today i.e. on 15 January 2022, 74th Army Day is being celebrated.

Indian Army was formed in 1776

The Indian Army was formed in 1776 by the East India Company in Kolkata. The army was occupied by the British commander before the country's independence. After this, when the country became independent in the year 1947, even then the President of the Indian Army was of British origin. About two years later, on 15 January 1949, the last British Commander-in-Chief of independent India, General Francis Butcher, handed over the command of the Indian Army to Indian Lieutenant General K. M. Cariappa. Only after this he became the first Indian military commander of independent India. It is one of the most important events in the history of India. That is why January 15 is celebrated every year as Indian Army Day. The purpose of celebrating Army Day is also to salute all the martyrs who gave their lives in the defense of the country and also to salute the soldiers who are engaged in the service of the country.
