Navjot Singh Sidhu recently shared that his wife, Navjot Kaur is cancer free. He further revealed about the diet plan that she followed.
Navjot Singh Sidhu recently addressed a press conference and announced that his wife, Navjot Kaur Sidhu, is cancer free.The former MLS was battling with cancer for over a year. Reportedly, she was given only 3 percent chance of survival. However, after following strict dietary routine, lifestyle changes, she beat stage four cancer
“She defeated cancer not because we had money but because she was disciplined and followed a strict diet routine,” he said adding, that she was finally discharged from the hospital after 40 days.
Sidhu shared that Kaur started her day with lemon water, ate raw turmeric, and consumed apple cider vinegar, neem leaves and tulsi. Citrus fruits and juices like pumpkin, pomegranate, amla, beetroot and walnuts were a part of her daily diet. He added hat berries are great of cancer.
Her morning tea featured spices like cinnamon, black pepper, cloves, jaggery, and cardamom. Sidhu said she had her dinner by 6.30 pm and had her first meal of the day at 10 am. Her cooked meals comprised anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer foods and were prepared using coconut oil, cold-pressed oils, or almond oil. Regarding his wife’s hydration, Sidhu said, “She was only given water with a pH level of 7,” and claimed it was the most important part of her diet.
He claimed that fasting and a diet lacking sugar and carbohydrates could kill cancer cells. This is reportedly sparked a debate about cancer treatment.
Several experts have said that diet alone cannot replace traditional cancer treatment. Dr Puneet Gupta, Chairman – Oncology, Asian Hospital, says, “Cancer can’t be cured by diet alone. However, dietary interventions are important for overall anti-cancer care, as patients are likely to suffer from anemia, weight loss, and electrolyte imbalance,” speaking to Hindustan Times.
While this diet and routine, along with other modes of treatment worked well for Navjot Kaur Sidhu, different cancer patients have different journeys. It is better to consult your respective doctors for tailor made diet chart and lifestyle practises to follow.
