New Scooter: Yamaha is preparing to further strengthen its premium two-wheeler portfolio in the Indian market. According to media reports, the company may soon launch its new maxi-scooter Yamaha NMax 155 in India. Although the company has not yet made any official announcement regarding its launch, there has been talk of bringing this scooter in the Indian market for a long time.
Will enter 155cc maxi-scooter segment
According to reports, Yamaha NMax 155 will be launched in the premium 155cc maxi-scooter segment. This scooter can attract youth and touring loving customers with its stylish design, advanced features and strong performance.
Powerful engine and better performance
Yamaha NMax 155 is likely to get a 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine can generate power of about 15bhp and torque of 14Nm. The scooter is also expected to get a 7 liter capacity fuel tank, which can make long distance trips more convenient.
There will be a long list of features
Talking about the features, Yamaha NMax 155 can get features like LED headlight, LED taillight, 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts.
Apart from this, the scooter can be provided with 13-inch wheels, front and rear disc brakes, ABS, USB Type-C charging port, keyless start/stop system, large under-seat storage and comfortable single-piece seat. Its seat height is expected to be around 770mm.
When can it be launched?
At present Yamaha has not revealed the launch timeline. However, according to media reports, the company may launch this premium maxi-scooter in the Indian market by the end of 2026 or in the first quarter of 2027.
