No clue found even after 10 days of thieves digging tunnel in Meerut, anger among people

Meerut. Even after 10 days, the police could not trace the miscreants who tried to enter the bullion shop on Garh Road by digging a tunnel. While the SSP had deployed four teams including surveillance and SOG. The police have scanned the footage of more than 100 CCTV cameras to identify the miscreants.

Hemendra Rana, a resident of Mayur Vihar Colony of Medical Police Station area, has a shop named Priya Jewelers near Gandhi Ashram. Within six months in his shop, miscreants have tried to steal twice by making a tunnel.

A month ago, there was an attempt to steal by making a tunnel in the goldsmith’s shop in Rithani of Partapur. Traders got angry when miscreants targeted jewelers’ shops.

The traders staged a sit-in and demanded the arrest of the accused. Even after 10 days have passed since the incident, the police have not been able to trace the miscreants who dug the tunnel. CO Arvind Chaurasia says that the police were engaged in Holi, Shab-e-Barat and VVIP duty. Soon the miscreants will be caught and the case will be disclosed.
