Nokia: Leave 5G, 6G, this technology of Nokia will give 100Gbps internet speed
Nokia: The internet speed of 5G and 6G is considered so fast that you can download movies in seconds. It is being claimed that in 5G, users will get internet speed of 1Gbps. At the same time, in 6G the internet speed is expected to be 10 times i.e. up to 10Gbps. If you are told that you will be able to access internet at a speed of 100Gbps then you will not believe it. Let us tell you that Nokia has tested a technology in which internet can be accessed at the speed of 100Gbps.
download 100 movies at once
The internet speed will be so fast that you will be able to download 100 files of 1 GB simultaneously in one second. Nokia has tested this technology in collaboration with Italian broadband service provider Open Fiber. Nokia has successfully tested this PON i.e. Passive Optical Network at the headquarters of Open Fiber. Currently, OpenFiber offers internet speeds of up to 10Gbps over optical fiber in Italy.
The special thing about PON is that it can provide internet service at a speed of 100Gbps without making any changes in the infrastructure. In this technology of Nokia, internet service can be provided at the speed of 100Gbps only on the existing infrastructure. Open Fiber is the first telecom operator in Europe to provide internet service at speeds of 100Gbps. Considering the increasing demand for commercial data, this technology can prove to be a game changer in the coming days.
Nokia completed testing
In this PON technology of Nokia, during the trial, internet data was successfully accessed at internet speeds up to 10Gbps, 25Gbps, 50Gbps and 100Gbps. Nokia did not make any changes to the existing open fiber infrastructure during the trial. This technology will bring new solutions in future for healthcare, industrial solutions, cloud computing etc.
Ericsson had said in its mobility report released in November that the daily data consumption capacity of users is going to increase rapidly in the next 5 years. 6G will be commercially launched in 2030. Currently, telecom companies around the world are working on 5G SA and 5G Advanced.
