Not MS Dhoni! Mumbai Indians INR 5.20 crore buy wants to talk to the hero of the country in IPL 2025

Naman Dhir, who was bought by Mumbai Indians for INR 5.2 crore at the recent IPL 2025 mega auction, wants to talk to his idol Virat Kohli in the 18th season of the tournament. He admires Kohli’s ethics and passion for the game.

Dhir couldn’t converse with Virat in the previous season of the league, but he would love to grab the opportunity in IPL 2025. He plays domestic cricket for Punjab.

“I follow Virat Kohli. His work ethic, dedication and passion are unmatchable. I didn’t get a chance to listen to his views in the previous season but I will 100 percent talk to him this time,” Dhir told Sports Tak.

Dhir played for MI in the previous season but was not retained. However, the franchise used the RTM card to bring him back for the upcoming season. In case Mumbai did not buy him, he was looking to play for Royal Challengers Bengaluru or Punjab Kings.

“RCB and Punjab bid for me. After Mumbai Indians, these are the two franchises I would love to play for. Punjab is my home, and there is Virat Kohli in Bengaluru. Virat is a hero of the country,” he added. Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals also showed interest in the player.
