Noida . Police Station Phase-3 has arrested a notorious gangster during an encounter. The bullet fired by the police hit his leg. A reward of Rs 25,000 was declared on the arrest of the said miscreant. The police recovered a country-made pistol, a motorcycle and two mobile phones looted from different places from him.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone II) Rajeev Dixit said that Police Station Phase-3 was checking late on Thursday night when some miscreants were seen coming riding on a bike. He told that on being suspicious, the police signaled the miscreants to stop. Instead of stopping, the miscreants started running away by firing at the police party with the intention of killing them.
He said that while retaliating, the police also fired. Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the bullet fired by the police hit the leg of a miscreant Abhishek son Suraj alias Vikram Balmiki resident of Sonipat Haryana district. He told that the injured miscreant has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that during the investigation, the police have come to know that this miscreant has been arrested several times in the past in the case of robbery in different police station areas of the National Capital Region. A case has been registered against him under the Gangster Act in Police Station Phase-3. A reward of 25 thousand rupees was declared on his arrest. He told that the police is looking for his absconding accomplices.
