But now to make this journey easier, a big facility is going to be started, due to which this climb can be completed in just one hour.

The climb from Katra to Bhawan usually takes 6 to 7 hours to reach Vaishno Devi temple. This journey is not only physically challenging, but passengers have to face additional problems due to crowd and weather conditions. However, now an important plan has been prepared in this regard, which will make this journey even more convenient.

Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has constructed a road from Katra to Sanjichhat. ropeway A plan has been prepared, due to which the passengers will soon get a chance to complete the 14 kilometer long climb in just one hour. The construction of this ropeway will not only reduce the travel time, but the passengers will also get relief from difficult routes.

Journey from Katra to Sanjichhat by ropeway

Earlier, devotees had to climb 6 to 7 hours on foot to reach Katra from Bhawan. Whereas, if traveling on horse, this time would be 3-4 hours. Even if traveling via helicopter, the devotees had to travel 2.5 km on foot from Sanjichhat to Bhawan, which took at least 2-2.5 hours. Now, Vaishno Devi Shrine Board to make this journey even simpler and faster Ropeway from Katra to Sanjichhat Is preparing.

This ropeway project will be built at a cost of approximately Rs 300 crore and will provide an opportunity to about 1,000 devotees to travel daily. It is estimated that this ropeway will start by 2026, after which it will be very easy for the devotees to travel.

New record on Vaishno Devi

The love of devotees towards Vaishno Devi is increasing year by year. Last year, about 95 lakh devotees had reached Vaishno Devi, and this year till November 20, about 86 lakh people had gone there to visit. It is estimated that by December 31, this figure will cross 1 crore, due to which a new record can be created at Vaishno Devi.

In view of this increasing number, this new ropeway project will prove to be very beneficial for the devotees, which will provide them relief from the problems of traveling and the travel experience will become even easier.
