Organizing 'School of Cleanliness' in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College of DU

New Delhi. A special programme, 'School of Cleanliness' based on the theme 'Nature Cleanliness, Sanskar Cleanliness' was organized at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College, Delhi University. The objective of this program was to increase awareness about cleanliness among the students and contribute towards building a clean India. This program was organized with the joint effort of IQAC Cell of the college, Department of Geography and Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). Manu Korula (OS and Director General) and Dr. Ravindra Singh (Director of DMS) were present as chief guests in the program.

While honoring the sanitation workers in the programme, the college appreciated their tireless efforts towards cleanliness. Principal of the college, Prof. Arun Kumar Attri, while addressing the students, emphasized on the importance of cleanliness and praised DRDO's work of serving the country. Chief guest Manu Korula inspired the students to become self-reliant and highlighted the importance of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

He also explained in detail about the important work being done by DRDO for the security and development of the country. Dr. Ravindra Singh explained the deep connection between cleanliness and discipline. He said that cleanliness is very important not only for personal hygiene but also for the development of the society and the country. A large number of teachers and students were present in the program.
