Oscar Awards 2023: The biggest award of the film industry Oscar has been announced. SS Rajamouli’s RRR film Naatu Naatu won the award in the Best Original Song category. India’s The Elephant Whispers won the award in the Best Short Documentary category. Meanwhile, Vivek Agnihotri, director of The Kashmir Files, is being trolled a lot.
People are making fun of Vivek Agnihotri, Anupam Kher and Kashmir files on social media. Sharing a video from America, a user said, ‘Vivek bhai is waiting for you, you have not come but you are going to get Oscar. You said that you are nominated. Here all NRIs are waiting for you. But you can’t see the parking lot here.” He said in the video that he should not do such work which brings bad name to India.
In fact, Vivek Agnihotri tweeted in January that his film has been shortlisted for an Oscar nomination. After this, the process of congratulating ‘The Kashmir Files’ started among supporters and artists. But, when the media started weighing the veracity of Vivek Agnihotri’s statement, it came to know that the reality was completely opposite to the claim. It is true that ‘The Kashmir Files’ was not shortlisted but was included in the reminder list. About 300 other films were found on the official website of the Oscars to make the shortlist.
What did Vivek Agnihotri say?
