New Delhi: Ekadashi fast has been given special importance in Sanatan Dharma. Lord Vishnu is worshiped every month on the Ekadashi date of Krishna and Shukla Paksha. It is believed that fasting on this day with devotion and regularly removes the sorrows and pains of life and brings happiness and prosperity.
Param Ekadashi falling in Krishna Paksha of Jyeshtha Adhik month is considered very auspicious. How to break Param Ekadashi fast?
On Dwadashi Tithi, wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean clothes. After this, purify the worship place of the house with Ganga water. Light a lamp of desi ghee in front of Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi.
Chant Vishnu mantras with true heart and recite Vishnu Chalisa. Offer satvik food to God and pray for the happiness and peace of the family. According to religious belief, donating food, money and necessary items on the day of Dwadashi gives full results of the fast. At the end, distribute the Prasad and accept it yourself.
Why is fasting considered important?
According to astrology and religious beliefs, if Ekadashi fast is not observed at the right time then the full virtuous results of the fast are not achieved. Therefore, it is considered very important to perform Parana with devotion and rules.
