PKL: Thanks to Dahiya, Gujarat Giants register a tough win over Telugu Titans

Noida Noida: Gujarat Giants clinched their third win of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season by defeating Telugu Titans 31-28 at the Noida Indoor Stadium on Saturday. Partik Dahiya overcame Vijay Malik's 15-point performance to register his second Super 10 in two matches as both the teams had a close encounter.

Raiders from both sides started the game on the front foot and got on the scoreboard without much fuss. However, both defensive units kept things in balance in the early exchanges. According to the PKL press release, Partik Dahiya got the first do-or-die raid after 6 minutes of the game and the second after that, helping Gujarat Giants stay ahead in the first quarter of the game.

Guman Singh further strengthened Gujarat Giants' momentum by executing a remarkable two-point raid moments later. Guman Singh and Partik Dahiya continued to showcase their raiding skills as they took a three-point lead before Vijay Malik single-handedly kept Telugu Titans in the game. As the only player on the mat, he scored two raid points and revived his team twice and completed his Super 10 in the first half itself. This helped Telugu Titans level the score and they continued the momentum to take the lead when Ashish Narwal scored a super raid to end the half with the score 17-15. Gujarat Giants regained their lead with Partik Dahiya finding his groove with a two-figure raid which ultimately helped his team register an all-out over the opposition. It was not the best of nights for the Telugu Titans defenders with only one tackle point in the first half.
