Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the participants of Toycathon-2021 through video conference on Thursday. The Prime Minister’s Office gave this information.
The Prime Minister’s Office informed that the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and All India Council for Technical Education organized Toycathon- Jointly started 2021.
1.2 lakh participants registered
Around 1.2 lakh participants from India registered for Toycathon-2021 and submitted over 17,000 new ideas. Of these, 1,567 ideas are shortlisted for online ‘Toycathon Grand Finale’. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event will include teams with ideas on digital toys. A separate event is organized for non-digital toy concepts, which will not be online.
India’s domestic market and global toy market creates a huge opportunity for the manufacturing sector. Toycathon-2021 aims to promote the toy industry in India.
