Priyanka broke Rahul Gandhi's record in the first innings, won the election by a margin of 4.03 lakh votes.
Wayanad. Voting was held on November 13 for the by-election on Wayanad Loksabha seat in Kerala. Counting of votes took place on Saturday, November 23, in which Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has won a landslide victory in the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election. With her stellar election performance in Kerala's Wayanad Lok Sabha seat, Priyanka Gandhi has left behind her brother Rahul Gandhi's previous victory margin.

Priyanka Gandhi has secured more than 5.96 lakh votes in the by-election. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra not only retained the victory on the Wayanad seat vacated by brother Rahul Gandhi but also overtook Rahul Gandhi in the count of votes. Rahul Gandhi had registered a victory of 3.64 lakh in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Whereas Priyanka Gandhi won by a margin of 4.03 lakh votes. The CPI candidate stood second with 209,906 votes, while BJP's Navya Haridas stood third with 109,202 votes.
In the recently held Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi won the Wayanad seat by a huge margin of 3.65 lakh votes, which was a significant victory for the Congress party. However, his sister Priyanka has crossed this gap in her very first step into electoral politics, which is a great start to her parliamentary career.
