Project Ganga: Yogi government will make youth digital entrepreneurs in Gram Panchayats of UP, scheme will be started in 30 districts in the first phase.
Read, Lucknow : Taking forward the self-reliant model, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday launched the Government Assisted Network for Growth and Advancement (GANGA) project. Through Project Ganga, preparations are being made for digital revolution in the gram panchayats of the state. In the first phase, the target is to make about 8 thousand youth digital entrepreneurs.
The Chief Minister said that our model should be self-reliant. The face of the villages of UP is changing. All 57,700 gram panchayats have their own village secretariats. The secretariat also has not one or two rooms but four to six rooms. There is a digital library. All the work of the villagers is being done from the secretariat. The government has hired Panchayat assistants, who are helping in making certificates of birth, death, caste, residence and others. Now villagers do not need to go out of the village for certificates. BC Sakhi’s model is also successful.
On the same lines, now the Digital Entrepreneur Scheme will also become a great model of self-reliance. UP Tosformation Department will move forward with Hinduja Group towards creating digital entrepreneurs in villages. The scheme will be started in 30 districts in the first phase. Our aim is to create digital entrepreneurs in every panchayat. There will be 50 percent women in this.
Project Ganga requires fast internet facility. The faster the Internet, the faster the pace of development and changes in people’s lives. Initially, we are connecting 8 thousand Nyaya Panchayats with broadband. After this all the gram panchayats will be added.
CM Yogi said that taking forward PM Modi’s vision of Digital India and self-reliant India, UP has presented successful models. Digital payment program taken forward. Digitization of e-office and bank records.
Project in the name of Mother Ganga
The Chief Minister said that it is a pleasant feeling to name Project Ganga after Mother Ganga. India was a golden bird only because of the blessings of Mother Ganga. It is only due to the blessings of Mother Ganga that abundant food grains are available.
CM Yuva Scheme in UP
CM said that CM Yuva Yojana is already running to make the youth of UP self-reliant. Youth are being given guarantee and loan interest free up to Rs 5 lakh to start their own business. Today about 2 lakh youth are doing successful business in UP.
From selection to training in Project Ganga
The Chief Minister said that now we are going to start Project Ganga Scheme in 30 districts of UP. Our target is to take it to all 75 districts. At present there are 350 tehsils and 825 blocks in UP. There are 8 thousand Nyaya Panchayats and 57,700 Gram Panchayats. Project Ganga has to be taken to every village. Selection of candidates in Project Ganga will be very important. After this they will be given training. Financial assistance will also be provided to start a business through CM Yuva Scheme.
Broadband to 7 thousand panchayats
At present, broadband facility has reached about 7 thousand gram panchayats of UP. The Chief Minister said that in this time’s budget, budget has been allocated for digital empowerment of up to 8 thousand Nyaya Panchayats. This is quite a scientific model. In this way we can develop villages as smart villages.
