The politics of Maharashtra is hot before the Lok Sabha elections, on the one hand there is a tussle over seat sharing in the Mahavikas Aghadi. So on the other hand now nothing is going well between the Shinde faction and the BJP regarding the distribution of seats. Shinde’s army is staking its claim on 22 out of 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, while the same BJP does not seem to agree with it. This is the reason why Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis himself had to come to the ground to clarify.

Amidst the ongoing controversy over seat sharing, Deputy CM Fadnavis has said that the seat sharing formula will be worked out with mutual consent. There is no dispute between the two alliance partners.

Shinde Sena accused of step-motherly treatment

In fact, the Shinde faction is accusing the BJP of step-motherly treatment. Shiv Sena MP Gajanan Kirtikar has said that the 22 seats on which the undivided Shiv Sena contested in 2019. Shiv Sena has a natural claim on them. His colleague Deepak Kesarkar has also supported Gajanan’s point. However, in the meantime, Shinde has also tried his best to pacify the matter. Referring to the long relationship between Shiv Sena-BJP, he has said that it is time for elections, everything will be fine. No one has any reason to worry. Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis has also welcomed it. And said that there is complete harmony and understanding between the two sides. The distribution of seats will be done at the appropriate time.
